Anta Group is a comprehensive, multi-brand sporting goods group specializing in the design, production and sale of sports equipment such as sports shoes, clothing and accessories. The company was founded in 1991 and listed in Hong Kong, China in 2007. In 2018, Anta Group's sales volume exceeded 40 billion yuan, an increase of more than 44.4%. In the first half of 2019, Anta achieved revenue of 14.8 billion, an increase of 40% year-on-year. After nearly 30 years of development, Anta Group has transformed from a traditional private enterprise to a public company with a modern governance structure and international competitiveness. Since 2015, Anta Group has been the largest sporting goods group in China, with a market value of more than HK $170 billion in August 2019, ranking third in the global sporting goods industry.
In 2018, the group sold 70 million pairs of sports shoes and 100 million sportswear, and had more than 12,000 stores, directly creating 100,000 jobs. Anta Group adheres to the development strategy of "single focus, multi-brand, omni-channel". The group owns a number of well-known Chinese and international sports brands such as ANTA (China), FILA FILA (Italy), Desante DESCENTE (Japan), KOLON KOLON (South Korea), etc., to fully meet the diversified needs of consumers. In March 2019, an investor consortium composed of Anta Sports, Fangyuan Capital, Anamered Investments and Tencent completed the acquisition of Yamafen Sports Company, officially opening the globalization process, and established a new board of directors of Yamafen Group in April this year.
